6 day Holy Land Tour
Shalom,Thank you for the follow up email.Overall, we thought the trip was great! We didn’t get to see Bethlehem or Masada due to the Coronavirus situation and flooding on the road to Masada but our tour guide did his best to fill in - he took us to En Geti when we couldn’t get through on the road to Masada. That’s the way it goes sometimes.Regarding the Jerusalem Gold hotel, I was a little disappointed in that accommodation but, as you said, it is a Category D hotel. No worries, it did not reflect on the overall experience - we were thrilled with what we got to see. The Dan Panorama was a much better hotel more on-par with a Marriott or Hilton......and only a 20 minute walk from the Jaffa Gate of Jerusalem.I was most impressed with our tour guide, Aharon Yavav, he was extremely knowledgeable, detailed and went out of his way to satisfy our needs. There wasn’t any question that he couldn’t answer for us. Very high marks for him. The size of our tour group was perfect, as well. We only had 15 people in our group starting out and 11 after some left midway through the tour.In the future, I would like to return to Israel with my wife. I would like to do a similar trip with her. Additionally, my son and I visited with Aharon about hiking trips where we could hike through some of the ancient trails and historic landmarks.
