My father passed away last September at home. There was some confusion on my parent's funeral plan and another local funeral directors collected Dad's body and called later that day to say their company was not covered by the insurance.
I called Grant at Count Funerals who immediately took control as we did not know at this stage where Dad had been taken to, which was extremely upsetting for the family.
Grant visited us at home as my mum has mobility issues and was very patient and walked us through what we needed to do and what was included in the insurance policy, as we had never had to arrange a funeral before
He showed us caskets, flowers, example Orders of Service, urns, etc and I appreciated his soft approach and he was not at all pushy and did not try to sell us the most expensive items. Everything was explained thoroughly which was really reassuring for my mum which is in her eighties. County Funerals are much better value for money that any of the other local companies I researched - we definitely made the right choice for us - a family firm with a caring approach.
Grant even did a reading for us and was on hand during the funeral service for Dad, just in case any of us couldn't manage our eulogies on the day.
The day was beautiful, if you can describe a funeral as that, and even during the COVID restrictions, it went without a hitch.
The professionalism and care shown by Grant and his team during one of the worst days of our lives was monumental and something I will never forget.
