If I could give zero stars to this company I would. We had recently moved to the area toward the end of summer and wanted to get our rugs cleaned. I made it abundantly clear that we were going to store the rugs until cooler months (our new home isn't air conditioned and laying rugs in the thick of the summer heat wouldn't work for the home). They cleaned our rugs, steamed our floors and steamed our couch. They returned the rugs rolled and put them into my storage area for me - fully understanding that they would not be unrolled until fall/winter. There was NO mention that the rugs could potentially still be wet and to my surprise the rugs are completely covered in mildew and mold as I discovered this past weekend when we brought them in to unroll them. I immediately called the company to see what we could do and the owner said it's not his fault we stored them and that they would not offer any additional services to redo the rugs for free or even at a discount. If I would have known that the rugs could have been even slightly damp, I would have installed them over the summer, let them dry fully and then move them back into storage to avoid the $1,000s of dollars in damage. Aside from the rugs, the floor steaming was great but they caused permanent damage to our couch - there are white streaks that we've been unable to remove and they wouldn't rectify that issue either. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS IF YOU WANT THE JOB DONE RIGHT! UPDATE: Felt compelled to respond to the poor response provided by the company. Mind you, the response took 3 months for them to craft and if they think that the lapse in time softens the situation, well they're incredibly wrong. They never mentioned that the rugs could still be moist and should be laid out further to dry. They also never advised that the rugs should not be stored as they mentioned in their response. In fact, they placed them in the storage space for me with no questions asked. As someone who invested heavily in these pieces for my home and took the steps to get them professionally cleaned, it doesn't make sense that I'd carelessly toss them into storage knowing that they could become covered in mildew due to them still being damp. I wouldn't want to waste my hard-earned money nor would I want my toddler and newborn breathing in mildew from damaged rugs. Aside from the rugs - the streaks on my couch speak for themselves (they're still on the couch, by the way, 9 months later)... Jersey Steamer, shame on you for your poor handling of the situation. As someone who worked in customer service industries previously, you could learn a thing or two when it comes to good business practices and rectifying problems.
