I booked in to have my brake pads replaced and was told if any further work needed doing I would be called. I was told later that they had already changed the disks too and I had been charged £290 for this.
When I refused to pay and said “I have never been to a garage where they carry out unauthorised repairs on your car” the guy responded “well, I don’t know what world you live in but I’m my world our customers are just happy to drive away with a safe vehicle”
They ended up knocking of the labour and VAT - I still didn’t want to pay the final amount but for my car to be returned back to me I had to.
I would never go here again. The situation was handled so poorly.
Hi Imogen, we are a bit confused to why this review has been left, you brought your car to us, as you had a dangerous problem with your brake pads, and disks, we let you know on the phone that both needed to be replaced, as this was a danger to yourself and other road users, our priority as an establised garage was to make sure your car was road worthy and safe, so we replaced both for you, to make sure you were safe we even did the labour free of charge for you, so you just paid to make your car safe, on the road for yourself and other road users, you only paid for brake disks, and brake pads, this is a small price to pay for your general safety on the road.
