If I could, I would give zero stars to Mythic Bulldogs but then I could not post this review. Last month, we contacted Mythic Bulldogs to purchase a bulldog puppy. Carlos proposed the price to purchase which we agreed to without negotiating. We then placed a deposit on the puppy. Over the last month Carlos sent us photos of the puppies as they grew. Our family was excited for a new member of our family. Today, Carlos again sent us pictures of the puppies. After sending the photos, Carlos told us he increased the price several hundreds of dollars due to unexpected costs and inflation. Somehow within a month, the price Carlos proposed increased nearly 10%. Needless to say, I caution any buyer to contact, work with, or purchase a puppy from Mythic Bulldog. There are more reputable breeders available.

I completely understand your frustration, and I'm so sorry that the experience of trying to get one of our puppies caused you this level of dissatisfaction. We improved our process to have more clarity and a clear set of expectations for future customers joining the queue to get one of our puppies. Now some clarifications and context for potential future readers of this review: 0. Robert's wife placed the deposit to secure a spot in the queue of families waiting for a puppy, not for a specific puppy. They were 4th in the queue at the moment of this review. 1. The price of the puppies in the current litter increased 10% not just because of inflation. We had unexpected vet bills, which made us spend more on the litter. I tried to explain this situation to Robert's wife. 2. As Robert's wife was not happy with the variation in the price of the current litter, which is understandable, we refunded the deposit she placed to join the queue right away (Our deposit is refundable before a customer chooses one of our pups). 3. We tried to offer some other alternatives after the refund, and we tried to help Robert find another breeder, but he rejected our help, which is entirely understandable. 4. At the bottom of this answer to the review, you will find the new terms for our deposit that tries to address this situation and to have a more precise set of expectations for prospective families joining the queue. Our primary goal is to make families happy with our puppies while doing what we love the mostโ€”Breeding Bulldogs for families of bulldog lovers. ๐Ÿถ Rules for the deposit ๐Ÿถ ---------------------------------------- The deposit is $500. ๐Ÿค Before you choose a puppy, the deposit is refundable. ๐Ÿ›‘ The refundable deposit does not guarantee a fixed final price on the puppy you could select later. We will try to give you a close estimate of the final price, but it could change based on the costs, litter size, and other factors like unexpected vet bills. ๐Ÿ”’ Once you pick (lock) a puppy, the deposit becomes non-refundable, and we will agree on the final price of the puppy that day. ๐Ÿ’ฐ The deposit you paid goes towards the final cost of that specific puppy. The balance is due on the day you come to pick him/her up. There is an extra 5.5% processing fee over the puppy's price if you want to pay the balance using a credit or debit card. โœ‹๐Ÿงฌ If for any reason, we want to keep the puppy you locked for our breeding program at eight weeks of age, we will reimburse you the deposit. โฐ Once you lock a puppy with a deposit, we will immediately take him/her out of the market. We are just waiting for the puppy to have the right age to go home or for you to pick up the pup you selected. ๐Ÿ›‘ You can't switch the puppy later. Also, you can't cancel the deposit once you have selected and locked a specific puppy. ๐Ÿ’ธ If, for any reason, you can't come to pick up the puppy at 8 weeks and 3 days of age max, we will put him/her back on the market, and you will lose the deposit. ๐Ÿ˜ท Exception: We will refund you the deposit after you select and lock your puppy just if the puppy you chose has any health issues at the final vet check.
