Our Maxie passed away Easter Sunday. He was beautiful black labor doodle. We kept him at home til Monday morning. I called Sugar Grove and spoke with a very nice lady and explained our situation that morning and that we’d like to have him cremated. I also asked if she would let our regular vet know that Maxie had passed away as we only saw a certain vet with our boys. She said she would. Our vet was not in the office that day. She let me know that we could bring him in and someone would meet us in the front to help carry him in as he is 72 lbs. We get there, I call and let them know we were out front and again asked if someone could help us. This was a different girl on the line, the first thing out of her mouth was and I quote “Did you pay yet?” I said to this insensitive ding dong, “My dog just died and your asking me about money!!!” Now mind u we have two dogs n we’ve been coming there with our boys for almost 13 years since they were both puppies. I was so upset and devastated my Max has passed so suddenly and that’s what I get on the other end of the phone. I didn’t know money was their priority over my pet passing away. We’ve never been treated like that in all the time we’ve been going there. Oh and I call today Tuesday to ask if the message had gotten to our vet and I was told there was no message for her from me left for her. And again was I going to pay when I picked up Max’s ashes???? AGAIN, money!
We have had many dealings with their office and NEVER EVER not paid our bill there!!!!!!! Oh and this was yet another girl that I spoke with. I’m just so sad that we have been treated this way in our darkest hour. I’ve been crying for three days…. Such a disappointment they have been. And my vet doesn’t even know this has transpired. So heartbreaking upon heartbreak of loosing a so so loved pet.
