After a lot of last minute pondering over a special birthday present, I settled, somewhat apprehensively, on the somewhat - to me - left-field booking of Simon.
I needn't have worried.
His presence transformed a semi-regular family meal into an unforgettable occasion which will be spoken about for a long time to come.
He worked with the venue to entertain before, in between and after each course and left the adults bewildered and the children enchanted.
Not only would I have no hesitation in recommending him, I already have.
