Point Lenana and Nanyuki transfers
After finding us off the street the nairobi office organised transport and guiding for Mt Kenya trek to Point Lenana. One of the tour party had baggage lost by airline and also stomach issues so the organisers were understanding and accommodated going via airport to pick up our luggage on the way to Nanyuki. Once in Nanyuki since we wanted more days to recover and rest we delayed start date a little and that was also flexibly accommodated by guiding team. Our point of contact in Nairobi was Charles, in Nanyuki it was Daniel. Mt Kenya team: Sam - guide Chef - Patrick Douglas and Simon - Porters Tips would be to take or request portions of your own food like instant noodles if you aren’t accustomed to Kenyan cuisine. Mt Kenya via Simirion route up and Chogoria down was great. However summit day has a lottttttt of downhill. Chorgoria was so beautiful but we were too exhausted to take photos!
