My experience with Bennet's moving was definitely not 4 to 5 stars. We moved into a new home on January 6th and were notified by the previous owner that the movers damaged the threshold of the front door on the inside of the home. To their credit the movers acknowledged the damage and said their company would fix the issue.
We are now 3 weeks trying to get the door threshold fixed and the people they sent to fix our door said it was out of their scope of repair. I called the repair company numerous times to get this fixed and here we are a day from February and the issue is still unresolved.
I even called Bennet's moving company and talked to a secretary and she said they were only going to cut off a quarter inch wide piece and nothing else. The movers of the company hit the threshold with such force the threshold was also cracked around the adjustment screws on top of the threshold.
I could understand something like this happening if it were an older home with 20 years of wear and tear.
IT IS A 3 AND A 1/2 YEAR OLD HOME.
The threshold is one whole piece and cannot be repaired by a 1/4-inch-wide piece being replaced as the threshold is machined out of one whole piece of wood. Bennets should at least send one of their people out "preferably a manager" to look at the damage their movers caused to our new home.
Very disappointed with this company and will make sure I tell everyone I know of my experience.
UPDATE: Since posting my review the owner of Bennetts moving company has contacted me and he has been actively searching for a company to make the needed repairs on our entry door. I have increased the rating from 1 Star to 3 Stars as the owner is actively seeking a solution to the issue with the threshold. I will update again once threshold has been repaired.
UPDATE: Jared from Benets Moving Company resolved my issue with the cracked threshold on my door this week and I cannot be happier. I appreciate the extra work he put in finding a quality contractor to fix the issue with the door. Jared has been a breath of fresh air when dealing with this problem. It would have been so easy for him to just say the heck with this it's only one customer, thanks to his high standards he did not take the easy route.
Finding a company now days that stands behind their word is becoming more difficult these days. You can rest assured that if you hire this company you will recieve top notch quality. D
Definitely a 5+++ Star company.
