This was one of the best weekends spent of my life!
Free diving to 16 metres with apneatotalmalta a few months ago here in Malta. Such a crazy mental experience in the space of just a few days 🤿🌊
I was so scared for this whole situation but I felt like it was important to do it because I had developed a major fear of the sea since almost drowning in Sri Lanka on a surf lesson 🏄♀️👍 and having a moment with poisonous sea snakes in Indonesia twice 🐍 (the first time scuba diving, the second time thinking one had touched me because we’d seen 2 in the vicinity, but actually it was just coral, which I ended up getting all scratched up on from panicking 😂).
I had been avoiding getting into the sea at all costs since, as I would just freak out, so this was a huge accomplishment. 🥲
The instructor, Arturo, was so amazing and really supportive, kind and patient, I am so grateful. I got further than I thought possible and it was a huge life lesson on the fact that we can have so much fear in our minds telling us to stop doing what we’re doing but in reality, we’re capable of so much more.
So grateful for this life lesson, and the entire experience with Apnea Total Malta🙏.
