Ensconced in the mountains of Umbria the Silent Meditation Center exudes peace. There is no traffic, birdsong is constant and the soughing of the wind through the pines is soporific. Mayadevi and Shintai, the hosts, made me feel welcomed and held. I was able to relax completely, meditate and let go, and enjoy delicious, healthy meals. When I arrived I was in a state of extreme agitation and doubt. After 5 days I left feeling calm and confident. I highly recommend this wonderful haven for anyone needing to rest, contemplate and recuperate.
