I really cannot praise Pup Club enough. I have just completed my first block of four 1-2-1 training sessions with Dan for my 3 year old Chow Chow and already the improvements are being noticed.
I have a very anxious Chow Chow that had gone through some negative experiences in the past (such as being attacked by off-lead dogs) that in turn had turned him very untrusting and defensive of strangers and other dogs. The response from my dog as a result materialised in aggression when he is afraid, which made things like handling him in public or having guests round the house, very difficult.
But Dan was very patient and accommodating with the training, tailoring the practices to accommodate for limitations my dog has (such as having to wear a muzzle in public). Already the unwanted behaviours on walks such as leash pulling is gone and he is doing much better with being able to walk past strangers and other dogs. By all means he is not completely where I need him to be yet, but I can definitely see the light at the end of the tunnel and with the practice and effort, I know my boy can get there.
I have already signed on for my next block of 1-2-1s to keep working at it and I am confident I shouldn't need many more soon enough. Many thanks again Dan!
