Kinda magical! I use SCS for my DIY / hobbyist builds involving waterjetted parts in Aluminum and plastic. Their ordering tool is snappy, detailed, and even a little fun to use. And the options available — oh, the options! I got my parts a little ahead of the promised date and they were packed well without being excessively overpackaged. Finish was as expected and perfectly accurate dims. Plus a couple Rad stickers!
I have a guy in town that ‘jets big parts for me and he’s great. But for smaller items SCS beats him easily on price, delivery time, and finish options - plus it saves me a trip to pick them up. I can put in an order in the evening in a couple minutes rather than burning time in the middle of the workday phoning the local shop, who is probably glad I’m not bogging him down with dinky low-margin jobs anymore.
I’m looking forward to trying machined parts in the future.
