Appauling service would not recommend Trip.com. Unfortunately we had not read their bad reviews before we booked with them, but I hope this review can help others not make the same mistake and loose a lot of money to this appauling travel agency. We had booked flights to Nepal but had changed them once due to illness. Trip.com changed these for a high fee but made several errors and never took any responsibility for this. Causing a high level of stress and significant cost to us. They booked us on two separate flights to get to Nepal stopping in India (they called this a soft transit). They did not link the flights, meaning they had seperate PNR numbers. Meaning we then required a specific visa to stay in india which we were not informed about. As we did not have this, we were unable to board the flight in london. Even if we had been able to get on the flight it would never have been possible to make the second flight as trip.com had not left enough time for transit baggage to be sorted. When we rang Trip.com they advised us to buy a new single flight to Nepal and they would refund us, as mistakes had been made with our tickets and they needed to investigate this. When we arrived in Nepal we learnt Trip.com had then cancelled our return flight without our consent or knowledge, leaving us stranded in Nepal. Trip.com then refused to refund us or book new flights. We spent two weeks in limbo in Nepal, emailing daily and got responses to say they would investigate the situation and get back to us with a solution, which they never did. I provided evidence of the mistakes made and confirmation from the airlines of Trip.com errors but never heard back. Stay away from this travel agency! We ended up having to buy all new flights and loosing a lot of money. I would advise never to book with this company. They state they do not have a refund policy and if a flight is cancelled or changed through no fault of your own they will not give you any money back.
