REPORT THEM I purchased an item. The seller had three business days to ship it. Mercari sent me several messages stating that if the items tracking information was not updated within seven days of me making the order, then I would be eligible for a refund and cancellation of the order. I messaged them at the end of that seven days with screenshots, showing them what they said to me, and when they said that I would be eligible for a refund. They then proceeded to tell me that I actually needed to wait 15 days and to just ignore all of the messages that I received from them saying that I would be eligible for a refund after seven days. They then proceeded to call me the wrong name, kept copying and pasting the same message within emails, and kept ignoring my question which was “why is it that you continue to send me and other customers messages stating that tracking information is not available with a week we can get refunded when in actuality your policy is that we actually need to wait 15 days?” They never answered this question. Instead, they thanked me for being willing to wait on the order to arrive. After getting the runaround, I disputed with my bank and I am looking into making a BBB complaint as well. Now that Mercari has so many eyes on it after dropping seller fees down, they will want to have good press. They will not want BBB coverage of their scamming policies. Please report them.
