Scammed Horrendous! My partner and I had just bought a house when we decided to hire a van. I looked up herd hire as there was one locally to us and all the reviews were amazing. We decided to go for the jumbo van. I payed a £250 deposit and then for the van hire as well. My partner and my father took the van back at the end of the day where we were told that it would take around 5-10 working days for the deposit to be refunded. I waited over this time for the refund however it never went back into my account. I then tried to contact the manager the site as he had given my partner his personal number and it said that the phone number no longer existed. I then went onto google to find the original number I called and it said that the site was permanently closed. Which meant that my £250 was stolen from me. When moving house this money was a lot especially as a first time buyer who is still buying furniture. I have never been so upset!!!
