Spare me! Female landlord of 14 years. I'm also a Financial Crime Analyst with 10yrs+ experience in Fraud Prevention in Commercial Banking, so I know my red flags! Told I sounded messy on the phone because I had queries about price of boiler, labour etc...and was asked to pay 80.6% deposit (no joke!) because Mark doesn't trust landlords, hasn't "seen" me and doesn't know where I personally live? (Creepy much?) Sole focus is on quick cash upfront. Awful and offensive comms, longest sob story about other landlords ripping him off in an attempt to obtain this WILD 80.6% deposit (£2600/3100). A narrative potentially designed to target females/elderly or anyone soft enough to fall for it, so please don't and watch out! Retracted to 50% deposit upfront as if doing me some kind of favour, 50% is also an unreasonable deposit amount for common boiler install!! Wasted a month of my time waiting for this guy's availability only to be told I waited too long and price may go up due to Covid (Covid??? It's 2022!). A noticably paranoid, grossly unreasonable individual who is fundamentally clueless about how to conduct business effectively. No way will I trust this dodgy plumber. Gtfo! Blocked. Avoid!!!
