Excellent retreat on mind training I've just spent time on a silent retreat spread across 4 days with David and Manu in Snowdonia....https://www.samadhi.org.uk/after-retreat-snowdonia-july/ I cannot recommend this highly enough. Their friendly approachable relaxed style was really lovely. The entire set-up of the structure of the retreat was excellent; well balanced between the different elements. I loved the anonymous Q&A and it was very impressive that David answered all questions without prior access to them and his answers were always thorough and comprehensive. What I particularly liked is that while the Buddha is referenced there was no sense of any sort of 'religion' about it. The message was plain and simple...'This might help you. Try it and see'...it's very much experiential and accessible and requires no particular belief in anything or about anything. 40 years ago I was exposed to Buddhist teachings but somewhat disconnected from them because of all the 'religiosity' surrounding them, although I never lost the memory of the main message. David and Manu have put together a package, a method of learning and instructing that's very accessible, interesting, kind and compassionate. Everything they offer fits perfectly well too with latest research in psychology and psychotherapy (in which I'm trained). I would wholeheartedly recommend their retreats and teaching to anyone looking for ways of having a less stressful and happier life.
