Just Stop if on the A68
Long time since anywhere has been good enough for me to do a review but twice in the space of 24 hours I'd doing so. Drove to Edinburgh Saturday morning for a friends wedding - at somewhere called Carlowrie Castle, the other recommendation I'm doing this evening (you need a venue around Edinburgh for 50-100 people look no further. Anyway stopped at the usual places in Jedburgh with offering of Costa coffee and been there since 6am sausage / bacon roll. Passed on the food and started drinking the coffee but kept seeing these signs for car wash n coffee shop and there it was as I left Jedburgh. Thought wtf threw the Costa away and pulled in - car just valeted day b4 so didn't need so no idea what to expect but I needed coffee! Walked in to the most incredible aroma, really nice guy behind counter making staines. Ordered bacon sarnie with haggis slice and whilst he was cooking that his BLT's looked so good got one of them too. BLT stunning but then the bacon sarnie arrived - touch of black sauce.
This morning good breakfast at the Carlowrie but couple of hours later heading South on A68 just couldn't resist so went back in and ordered again with late. I kid you not £2.80 for the bacon sarnie, 50p for the haggis slice and an awesome cup of coffee, total £6 something.
Ok over the last few years value for money for quality food, these boys and girls have it cracked so much so that occasionally take the mutt for a walk round Kielder, someone respond with a good walk nr Jedburgh where the daft lab can swim and swim let me know and I'll be back, for an extra 20 miles or so definitely worth it
